EWES STILL WANTED
■Tlie N.Z. Farmers' Distributing Co., Ltd., report that at the Feilding sale on I'nday considerably, more stock came forward than advertised. There is still a strong demand for breeding ewes and prices were fully .maintained. Fat sheep were firm at last week'a rates. Fat lambs sold well up to schedule. Store wethers and lambs were keenly competed for, prices showing a hardening tendency. Beef cattle improved in values. Run cattle were in active demand, all lots selling freely at slightly higher prices. Quotations: Fat lambs, 26s Id, 25s Id, 245, 22a 6d, 22s 20s 7d, 19s 7d, 19s; fat ewes, 19s 6d, 18s, 17s Od, 17s, 15s 7d; fat wethers, 24s lOd, 24s 7d, 23s 6d, 23s 3d, 22a 4d; 2-tooth ewes 27s lOd, 27s 6d, 255; 2, 4, and 6-tooth ewes, 245; 4-year ewes, 20s; w.f. lambs, Iss 7d, 15s sd, 13s sd, 13s 4d; ewe lambs, 20s, 16s 6d; fat bullocks, £5 3s; fat cows, £5 8s to £2 6s; P.A. steers, £4 7s 6d, £3 10s; heifers, r.w.b., £3 3s; weaner heifers, 29s to 245; bulls, £3 10s Id, £3 sa.
