OBITUARY OF CONFERENCE

LONDON, March 24. The "Daily Telegraph" says the British Government does not regard the French Note as barring further efforts to reconcile the Franco-German standpoints. The Note fails in some respects to appreciate the scope of the British proposals. It will, therefore, be subject to an exchange of views, possibly occupying a few weeks. The meeting, of the Disarmament Bureau on April 10 may be postponed.
