BERLIN BITTER
ACTION OF FRANCE ■'• \
SABOTAGING PEACE
BERLIN, March 24.. There is no longer any doubt as to who is sabotaging the peace of Europe, is the general comment in the Press on the French Note, which the official newspaper -" Volkischer Beobachter" describes as a frivolous, malevolent, and most dishonest product of French post-war policy, and a falsification of the basis on which disarmament negotiations are built up, and a relapse into the old French cry of sanctions. Other comment states that France insists on the Versailles Treaty, new political guarantees, and a continuance of the discussions in the atmosphere which drove Germany from Geneva. France digs up the ancient demand for. sanctions, and refuses Germany's modest claims for the defence of the country.
