BASKETBALL
A number of successes in representative fixtures' are recorded in- the annual report of the Wellington, Basketball Association. The. Wellington representatives were narrowly defeated in.ike" final of the Dominion tournament, and the senior B team beat Canterbury in the annual match for the Muir Cup. Gratification isl expressed at the acquisition of new grounds at Hataitai, which are to be opened on April 21. During the year the executive continued its efforts to obtain the affiliation ,of teams in the North Wellington'district, but the matter was lield in abeyance, and it is hoped that- before long arrangements for linking up these; teams will be finalised.
