His Honour said that the prisoner took a horse froni Parou station, Tolaga Bay, rode it away,-and destroyed property belonging to the owner'by throwing away an overcoat containing cheques and other articles. The prisoner rode through to Auckland, where he sold the horse and converted the money to his own use. He had had a previous conviction, and had been given a chance, but he had failed to take advantage of it.
