EXPENDITURE REDUCED
UNEMPLOYMENT FUND
(British Offlcial Wireless.) '.■■'■' RUGBY, March 22. Civil Estimates issued today covering expenditure on the Ministry of Labour and National Insurance services.in the coining financial year show a net decrease of £7,961,000, as compared with the last estimate.
The total estimated expenditure under these headings is £147,526,143. The largest drop is in the vote for the Ministry 'of Labour, which stands at £65,404,000, having fallen by ■£10,687,970 owing to .the. fact v: that unemployment insurance and transitional payments are estimated to require £66,801,600, against £77,479,200 during the current year. This decrease is. found mainly under the head of grants to the unemployment fund for transitional payments and the cost of administration, which has dropped by £10,400,000 to £45,100,000. '■ .'„•■
