WATER-COLOUR EXHIBITION.

Wellington artists and patrons of art will be interested to know that an exhibition of the.work of Tom Garrett, rated by Australian critics as one of the Commonwealth's foremost and most individual' painters, is to be held in this city. The collection is housed in the "Evening Post" Building (fifth floor), and the exhibition will be opened by Dr. A. D. Carbery on Monday at 8 p.m. The "Sydney Morning Herald" critic, discussing Mr. Garrett'd pictures, praises their "individual charm" and "subtle atmospheric effects," adding that "the colour in some of them is surpassingly lovely.". Last year a Boston, U.S.A., collector visiting Australia took fifteen Garrett pictures back with her. The exhibition will remain open for a fortnight. _^
