CANADA'S PART

WORLD WHEAT AGREEMENT

OUTLINE OF MEASURES

(Received March 14, 2 p.m.) OTTAWA. March 13. In a general statement covering the wheat agreement, the Premier, Mr. R. B. Bennett, informed Parliament on Tuesday that emergency wheat boards, with power to licence and restrict sales and deliveries'within the provinces, might be set up under measures introduced this week in the Legislatures of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta, and with a joint board established by the Provincial and Federal Governments would implement the world wheat agreement so far as Canada is concerned. The Federal Parliament will also be asked to enact such legislation as may be necessary to give the Dominion Government authority to restrict sales and deliveries outside the provinces.
