CONSIDERED BY COUNCIL
(By Telegraph.—Press 'Association.) PAHIATUA, This Day. At a meeting of the Borough Council last night, the report of the two Public Works officers' on State and business premises damaged by the earthquake was submitted. It was moved that the report and tlie discussion be taken in committee. The mover said, that the report was for' the council and the affected State property, and publication in many cases might be injurious. The report was not for general, information. The motion was carried. It was resolved to negotiate for the services of a building inspector to peruse the plans and specifications of proposed reconstruction1 works. The fire brigade was heartily thanked for their splendid service on the night of the earthquake. ■ '
