INSPECTION WANTED

(By Telegraph—l'ress Association.) EKETAHUNA, This Day. A meeting of the Borough Council was held last night, when the Mayor stated that 90 per cent, of the chimneys in the district had been affected by the earthquake against 60 per cent, at Pahiatua. The total damage is now estimated at s£ 10,000. The council decided to apply to thej Public Works Department for an engineer to inspect all brick buildings immediately. Appreciation was expressed of the Mayor of Napier's sympathy and the offer of the services of the staff if required. ■
