MUNICIPAL CONFERENCE

I The twenty-fourth conference, of the New Zealand Municipal Association will be opened tomorrow morning at half past ten in the Concert Chamber, Town Hall. The Prime Minister (the lit. : Hon. G. W. Forbes) will address the delegates prior to ; the commencement of order "paper business. The remits for consideration this year are fewer than usual arid there do not_ appear to be so many subjects of a highly controversial nature as at past conferences. Arrangements have been made for the entertainment of the wives of delegates in various visits and sight-seeing trips, and on Friday afternoon ,delegates and their wives will visit the Water Board's bush area and the Akatarawa Valley.
