HUTT COUNTY FIRES
The Hutt County Council has made arrangements -with the Lower Hutt and Eastbourne Fire Brigades defining areas m which each of these brigades will attend fires. Last evening the fire prevention committee o£ the Lower Hutt Borough Council reported that the Lower Hutt Brigade would attend any fire in the reticulated area of the county, and any call to a fire beyond that area would be left to the discretion of the superintendent. These remarks applied to the land lying to the north of the borough, and so far as that lying to the south of the .borough was con r cerned. the brigade would not proceed beyond Hartley's residence on the Day's Bay Road at the foot of Seaview Road, an arrangement having been entered into with the Eastbourne Brigade and the Hutt County Council for the Eastbourne brigade to attend fires from Point Howard south. j
