Auckland's Anniyorsary Day is being celebrated in perfect weather y the radiant sunshine being tempered by a mild north-easterly breoze just strong enough to suit hundreds of ci'aft which participated in tho traditional Anniversary Day regatta. ,'.•'■
Thoro was a continuous stream of pc'oplo this morning to ,tho wharvos, where they embarked in large and small craft for^ trips on the- harbour or Hauraki Gulf. H.M.S. Diomede, anchored in, mid-harbour, is acting as flagship for the regatta.' All oversea ships in port aro "dressed" for tho occasion, and the German barque Magdalene Vinnen looked especially picturesqiie. Thcro aro large attendances at the Takapuna races and at the Auckland tennis finals, and many wont to Waiheke- for the New Zealand tourist trophy motor-'cyclo contest. '
