. The Iliad—Refinement filly that made 600 guineas was a perfect model of equine beauty. She is a well-grown brown and full of quality from top to toe. She moves with a swinging liberty of action when walking suggestive of ability to gallop, and she displayed perfect. manners when in the. ring. Another beautiful filly was the chestnut daughter of Chief Ruler and Jenolan.that made 623 guineas. She is brimful of quality with plenty of size and substance, and has a nice reachy stride when walking. The next beet price made by a filly was the 325 guinea* at which the hammer fell when a daughter of Gainscourt and Desert Gold was in the ring. Mr. T. H. \Lowry has already six daughters of Desert Gold in his stud, hence the reason for; parting with her yearling daughter to Gainscourt. Four other fillies by Chief Ruler, .made 200 guineas or more, and this figure must be considered highly satisfactory in a market rather too liberally stocked in that direction. ' • '.
