RECORD FOR MANY YEARS
The statistics give the acreages of wheat harvested, iji 1933 - for the different counties, and conditions have varied greatly between" groups of counties. The "Christchurch Press," in analysing the returns, stat.es ,that in the. estimate showing,theayerage.reduction per acre on last season, it should not be overlooked that the 1933 average was one of the best on. record—36.s4 bushels an acre, being exceeded only twice "in -the' sixty-four yeai-s covered by the .records—in 1903, 38.37 bushels, and in 1928, 36.56 bushels.
