INCREASING MEMBERSHIP

Nominations for. new members of the Canterbury Jockey Club closed last Tuesday, when 41 proposals had been received for consideration at a special meeting on February 0. Members joining after' January 1, which includes the latest nominees, have their subscriptions reduced for the shorter period to £2 2s, for which they receive privileges of membership at the Summer, Autumn, and GranS National Meetings. The secretary (Mr. F. T. H. Boll) states that the nomination of 145 new members in four months represents the greatest increase in the membership during the time of his association with the club.
