BRIGADE EQUIPMENT
As a result of, a recommendation by .the Superintendent of the Fire Brigade (Mr. Woolley), the Wellington Fire Board decided today to authorise the 'alteration of two motor-chaesis so' as, to provide a salvage van and a reserve: hose tender. The estimated cost,, as placed: before the board, is-about'£l9s. , The question was raised whether the toyo. machines, were absolutely necessary, and Whether equipment was" being bought too ..speedily. vMr. Woolley .stated that the two vehicles were necessary. .'. In authorising-the alterations, the board decided■ that; further tenders should; be obtained for the work. ~ / . ■
