LAMBS AT FORDELL.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report that at their Fordell sale this week they had a bigger yarding than the previous week, lambs again forming the bulk of the yarding. Values receded about Is per head on last week's phenomenal prices, and a few venders were not prepared to meet the market. It would be a fair estimate to say that values were on a par with prices obtained at the opening sale of the season held on January 9. A splendid line of 261 wether lambs—perhaps the best line ever yarded in Fordell—on account of the estate of C. W; Wilson, "Siberia Station,", Mangamahu, made 15s 6d. Other good lines were 201 shorn rape lambs on account of G. T. Phillips, 14s Id; 280 ewe lambs on account of Hamilton Bros., 17s lOd; 120 wether lambs on account of Godfrey Wells, 14s 7d; 149 rape lambs on account of James Estate, 15s 7d; 121 woolly rape lambs on account of Jas. Allison, 14s 9d; 107 woolly rape lambs on account of Collins'Bros., 15s 7d; and a pen of 64 light fat lambs on account of Jas. Allison, 18s. A pen of medium 'to good 2-tooth ewes were passed at 265, and a ; pen of 5 and 6year heavy-conditioned ewes were also passed at 15s. The sale was not as brisk as the previous week, but about 5000 sheep changed hands during the day. Tlie range of prices was:—Woolly rape lambs, 14s to 15s 7d; shorn rape lambs (medium), 13s 6d to 14s 3d (good); ewe lambs (medium), 16s 4'd to 17s lOd (good); w.f. wether lambs (good), 14s 7d to 15s 6d (medium), 11s to 14s 2d;' ewe lambs (medium), 12s 9d to 14s 7d, (cull) 9s 6d to 11s; b.f. lambs (medium), 12s to 13s 3d; w.f. wether lambs (cull), 8s 5d to 10s Id, 10s 9d, lls Id; 2-tooth ewes, 25s Gd; fat ewes, 14s sd;, fat lambs, 18s. ,
