United Tress Association—By Electric Telegraph—CopjTlgM. (Received October 30, 1 p.m.) HELSINGFORS, October 29.' A furious battlo followed the escape of a trainload of convicts at Vologda en route for the Archangel timber camps. The occupants of a wagon broko loose on arrival at tho station, overpowered and disarmed the guards, liberated their follow prisoners, set fire to the local police station and massacred the inmates. Troops hastened from the town and stormed the station buildings whero a fierce engagement occurred. Hundreds were killed and wounded on both sides. Many convicts fled to the forests where the soldiers are pursuing them.
