BACON FROM DOMINIONS

(Received -October 2S, 11 a.m.) LONDON, October 27. Determined to stimulate home production and restrict foreign imports the British Government has requested Australia and New Zeajand to estimate their shipments of bfkcon to the United Kingdom for the next two years. The estimates will assist decide the extent of a foreign cint of possibly 16 per cent. Tho question of restriction of .the Dominions' supply; which would require the Dominions' consent;, does npt at present arise. Britain desires that the estimate bo not exceeded. Denmark is most concerned, and is conferring with Mr. Elliot, Minister of Agriculture. The Anglo-Danish agreement entitles Denmark to supply 62 per cent, of Britain's foreign bacon.
