"A PURE ACCIDENT"
>:l am quite satisfied it was a pure accident," said the Coroner (Mr. E. Gilbertson, J.P.) at the conclusion of an inquest yesterday afternoon into the death of a Harbour Board employee, Stanley Johns, who died in hospital from injuries received when he fell about 18 feet off a gantry on the Thorndon Breastwork, as he Vas climbing down from it at noon on Wednesday last. The finding was that death was ilne to shock and internal injuries sustained as the result of the fall. Mr. Gilbcrtson presumed that the deceased had slipped, because, every possible provision was'made for the satcty of men working on the gantry.
