PRELIMINARY TRIALS INTEREST AROUSED
Tomorrow morning, weather permitting, the Evans Bay Club will hold the first of a series of trials to choose its representatives in the forthcoming provincial Sanders Cup trials at which the representative Wellington crew is selected. The three Evans Bay selectors are L. Bobertson, ex-Wellington Sanders Cup representative, E. W. Hargreaves, skipper of the Southern Maid, and J. Bolland, skipper of the Kio 11. Three boats aro likely to. participate, tho Idono, owned and skippered by veteran F. J. Harlen; the Betty, owned by W. H. Wagstaff and skippered by P. Harlen, and the Kitty, owned by C. V. Wagstaff and skippered by W. Sharp. The selectors are likely to have a difficult time as there is a big selection of firstclass yachtsmen keen to be chosen.
