EVANS BAY OPENING
Although the weather on Labour Day was scarcely ideal for yachting, many were very disappointed that the. morning races were called off. Evans Bay members aro inured to heavy weather, for most of the club's important events seem to fall when tho wind is blowing its hardest. The regatta committeo was wise, however, in cancelling the morning events, for the cold was intense, and it 'would have been impossible for competitors to keep dry. Luckily the sun shone brightly in the afternoon, and enabled onlookers and contestants to enjoy themselves.
