Yugoslavia, -where two towns are competing for the honour of presenting the. country with the greatest number of new' "citizens" at a birth (states a "correspondent). JajcCj a Bpsniaii.town of 6000 inhabitants, holds the record so far this year for Wins, triplets, and even quadruplets.- Single, births, indeed, are rare in the 'district.' , Twins are tho general rule,.and ■ recently' quadruplets were bo'ni'to the wife of a Jajce peasant. .Bijeljina, also in. [Bosnia, is a close rival.: Yulka. Tchukiteh, a peasant woman,'recently gave birth to triplets— all. girls-rfor the third time. Her husband has asked for State aid in bringing | up the infants, whom ho has appropriately named respectively Vcra, Nada, ■find Ljnba—•''Faith," "Hope" and •■Charity."
