OLD ENGLISH FAIR
An "Old English Fair" will be hell at* St. Peter's Hall, Ghuznee. Street, on November 1 and 2, arid will 1)9 opened- by her Excellency, Lady Bledis« loe. - ■ , • Fifty years ago a similar fair waa held at St. Peter's, and it was thought fit to celebrate the jubilee by holding another of similar character. ; Formei" parishioners are invited to be present for the sake of old associations. Some? of those who took part in the fair ofl 1883, as children, will participate again* as well as relativos and friends. Oltt acquaintances will be renewed, and an! . interesting feature will, bo the dh-i play of old photographa of interest to) former parishioners and their relatives.* As in ISS3 maypole dancing, th« "Punch and Judy" show, a mode museum, and various stalls were or* ganised, so in 1033 the same items hayo^ been arranged, and in many cases wilt be conducted by relatives and friendsj of those who had charge fifty years ago* The fair will be open at 2.45 eachi N day until 10 p.m. Maypole and ebuin try dancing will be performed each* afternoon, and in the evenings otheff entertainments and the "Punch kds Judy show will be staged., •
