Mrs. G. A. Chapman and Miss Ella Chapman, Lower Hutt, will leave next week for Christehurch. Mrs. Chapman will stay at the United Service Hotel, and Miss Chapman will bo the guest of her sister, Mrs. Huthwaite Konaldson, Fendalton. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Mill, Auckland, arrived in Wellington yesterday by aeroplane, and are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gibson Stott, Tinakori Road, for the weekend. Miss Mary McLean, Waipawa, HawkeVßay, is visiting her relatives, the Misses McLean, Mulgrave Street. Mrs. Charles Nichols, Pipitea Street, will bo a visitor to Christehurch next week. Mrs. N. Levy and her small daughter have returned to Wellington after a trip to England. , Mrs. Wallingford, Auckland, is visiting Wellington, and is the guest of ( Mrs. G. S. McNair. Mrs. Joseph Loughnan, Lower Hutt, will be a visitor to Christehurch for Cup .Week. Mrs. S. E. Shayle-Georgo, of Lyttelton, and Miss Pauline Shayle-George, who have been spending some weeks with Mrs. F. W. Simmonds, Karori, returned' south last evening. Miss Cookson, lady superintendent of the Wellington Hospital, is spending tho weekend with her sister, Mrs. F. W. Freeman, Cashmere Hills, Christchurch. Sister Samson,, matron of Flopk House, who spent last weekend with her cousin, Mrs. Conlon, Te Momi Road, Lower Hutt, has returned to Bulls. Miss Jean Speedy, Takapau, who was the guest of Mrs. Lloyd Clay, Willis Street, during race, week, returned home yesterday.. • Mrs. S. Bowman,. Dunedin, is visiting Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Suttou are visiting Wellington.' Mrs. John' Mawson, Wellington, is visiting Auckland. Mrs. Joseph MeGeorge, Dunedin, will arrive in Wellington next week for a visit. . Miss Kathleen Needham, Christchurch, who has been the guest of Mrs. John B. L. Needham, Lower Hutt, has returned south* Miss Kate Gardiner, of Warrington, England, a well-known alpinist, who has been at National Park, is visiting Wellington before going on to Mount Cook. Among the guests at the Midland Hotel are Mrs. Francis de Stacpoole (Takapau), Misa Joan Williams (Masterton), and Miss K. Gardiner (Warrington, England).
