The Ellerslio gallops were held under excellent conditions this morning, training being carried out on tho course proper with the poles 40ft out. Red Sun and Carfex did ten furlongs in 2min 17,2-ssec, the last six furlongs in lmin 23 l-ssec. Red Sun impressed more than Carfex. * My Money beat Appellant over half a mile in 52 2-ssec—a smart effort. Lord Val worked a rnilo in lmin 48 4-Ssoc, half of which was covered in 54sec. Psychologist jumped away from the. five furlongs post and did the first two furlongs in 25se'c, completing tho distance in lmin 4 2-ssec. The best performance of the morning over this distance was that of Whenuakura, who did the first two furlongs iv 25sec, easing up at the finish of five furlongs in lmin'7 2-ssce. Supreme Ruler covered four furlongs in 52 3-ssec, and a mile in lmin 46 4-osec. Chief Emerald assistod him over the* last half-mile in 52 4-ssec. Kiltowyn took 25 l-ssec for two furlongs and finished five furlongs in lmin 5 2-ssec. He could have improved on this. King Musk, carrying a good weight, ran three furlongs in 38 4-ssec, and finished six furlongs in lmin 20 4-ssee. Morehu did the same distance in lmin 21 2-oscc. The juveniles Red Flame and Seven Seas ran three furlongs, the former taking 37 4-osec and Seven Seas 38 2-ssec. United was a shade better than Echo Song over five furlongs in lmin 5 2-5 see. Zanc Grey, with a light weight, beat Courthaven and Glenromney, over six furlongs on the grass in lmin 1!) 2-ssec. Chief Cook did strong work, and covered the last three furlongs iv 40sec. At Takanini the poles were -20ft out. Holly Lv and Gold Pocket galloped six furlongs in> lmin 16 4-ssec, the former finishing a length in front. Arch.Ruler beat Thospis over five furlongs in lmin o 3-ssec. Speedmint beat King March by half a length over a mile ill lmin 46sec, j tlio first four furlongs being covered iv G2sec.
