Misses Elizabeth and Mary Surges Watson, Auckland, who are tho guests of Captain and Mrs. Colin SinclairThonison, Grant Road, will spend the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Eric Eiddiford, Orongorongo, before leaving for Christehurch for the races. Mrs. M. Hayward, who has been the guest of her son, Mr. Cyril T. Patterson, Te Awamutu, has returned to her home in Petone. * Miss Winifred Spencer, Wellington, who was the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Spencer, Shannon, has returned to Wellington. Mrs. A. L. Baillie, who has been visiting England and tho Continent during the last eighteen months, returned to New Zealand by the Wanganella this week. Mrs. A. F. Carey and Mrs. Pearce Carey, Christehurch, arrived in Wellington this morning, en route to Auckland, where they will be the guests of Mrs. Hugh Lawry. Mrs. Murray Litchficld, Wellington, will visit Christehurch next week, and will be' the guest of Mrs. Prank Graham. Mrs. M. Beveridge, Wellington, is visiting Christehurch. Mrs. L. Almond, Timaru, who has been visiting AVelliugt'on, lias returned south. . • • • Mr. and Mrs. G. Connor are Wellington visitors to Christehurch. Mrs. Frank Armstrong, Wellington, who has been the guest of Miss M. J. Denniston, Christehureh, returned this morning. Mrs. Rudman, Auckland, is a guest at the Eoyal Oak Hotel.
