Teaui3 from Masterton and Miramar ladies' Clubs met in a challenge match idr the Lance George Cup on the Mirainar links on Monday last, Miramar winning and retaining the trophy. The results were aa follows, Masterton players being mentioned first in each case:—Mrs. Wil-. liams lost to Miss Hanson, 3 and 2; Miss James lost to Miss Gambrill, 1 down; Mrs. Steele and Mrs. Farr, all square; Mrs. Birch, lost to Mrs. Richmond, 4 and 2; ijrs Homer lost to Mrs. Ward, 6 and o; Mrs. Feast lost to Mrs. Jarvis,. 2 down; Miss Hornabrook lost to Miss Fair, 3 and 1 • Miss Allan lost to Miss Plimmer, 3 and i' Mrs. Major lost to Mrs. Murray, 4 and 2; Mrs. Herbert lost to Mrs. Hunter, 2' down; Miss Oates b^at Mrs. Andrews, :j and 2; Miss B. Todd lost to Mrs. Keaney, 4 and 2; Miss N. Jury lost to Mrs. Sage, •2 down; Miss Gordon beat Mrs. Sterling, 2 up; Mrs. McCrae and Mrs. Turner, all Masterton won 2 games, Miramar 11, and 11, games were squared. .
