MUSICAL BAND BOX CO.
The Musical Band Box Company recently presented their bright revue to a packed audience in the Trades Hall, tlio proceeds being in.aid o£ the Te Aro School funds. The programme was' an exceedingly good one and the evening proved a success in every respect. Tho artists who contributed Wore Mesdumes Astell and Clayton (duots), Mr. E. H. Bennet (songs), Messrs. Arthur Pennington, A. Brady, and T. Pengam (humorous items), Misses Gladys Smytho and Margaret Oates (solo dances), and Mr. Eric Te Puui (banjo selections). A ballet (trained by Miss G. Smythe) comprised Misses J. Harris, S. Evans, N. Bell, F. Beeves, U. Wollon, and J. Austin. Mr. Alex Jackson was the accompanist, Mr. A. Blake stage manager, and Mr. J. Cole attended to the lighting. Madame Foley designed the ballet costumes. Members of the Parents' Association entertained the whole company at supper, and a very hearty vote of thanks was accorded tho performers. The next performance, in aid of the funds of tho Mount Cook School, is . being keenly anticipated.
