SUCCESSFUL' DANCES
"CHARLEY'S AUNT" CLUB
An annual event to which "Charley's Aunt" Club members look forward is the masked, poster, plain, and fancy dress ball, which provides, a fitting finale to the 'club's 'fortnightly "koioros." As is usual, when masks are worn, much fun followed the attempts'to retain anonymity. Fancy costumes were original, amusing, and descriptive,- and some charming ensembles were' worn.
All was colour and animation under the effective decorations; festoons of brightly coloured paper streamers being suspended from huge shaded lights, stretching to all parts of the room, and bunches of balloons hanging round the walls. The decorations were the sole work of the energetic secretary (Mr. Montague E. Nolan), to whom was due much of the credit for the success of the ball.
