RETIRING OFFICERS
At a meeting of the Public Service Superannuation Board held on Tuesday, the chairman (Mr. J. W. Macdonald) in referring to the retirement of Messrs. Allison and: Lamb aa members of the board, said that Mr. A. E. Allison, Government Iris'urauce Commissioner, had been a statutory member of. the board. for. over seven years, and had given, distinguished service. Mr. H. A. Lamb was elected as a representative of contributors belonging to the Post and Telegraph Department in April, 1922, and for the last seven and a half years of his tenure of office had been chairman of the claims committee. Throughout a lengthy period of service, Mr. Lamb had rendered excellent service.
Messrs. Allison and Lamb, in reply to the expressions of goodwill and success for the future, staled that the relationship of members of the board had been of the happiest nature, and they appreciated . the. cordial good wishes tendered to them.
At' the previous week's meeting, Mr. J. T. Carr, a representative of contributors belonging to tho Post and Telegraph Department for the past eighteen months, tendered his resignation pn leaving the-service to.enter commercial life. The cordial good wishes of members of! the board -for: a . successful career was conveyed to Mr. Carr by the chairman. .. „ . . . .
