NEW REGULATIONS
SOME RESTRICTIONS
(Received August 26, 10 a.m.) BERLIN, August 25. The German Government's new regulations placing foreign shipping companies on the same footing as German, permit ' Germans to book on foreign ships, but in order to prevent the flight of capital, payments must not exceed ttie fare, plus expenses during the voyage. Any money unused must be refunded. In Germany foreign agencies are allowed to transfer home amounts not exceeding 50 per cent, of, the transfers in the corresponding month of last year. They can use the remainder to defray expenses in Germany. The Ministry of Economics will deal with requests for higher transfers.
