CANTERBURY'S EASY WIN
Canterbury played its second representative match of the season at Lancaster Park on Saturday and defeated Southland by eight goals to one. The visitors scored early through the medium of a penalty bully, but were completely outclassed during the rest of the match (says a Christchurch exchange). They showed themselves to be unaccustomed to the short passing game, and with the exception of a few futile efforts never looked like scoring.
