EVENT AT RUAPEHU
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, August 24. Unfavourable weather necessitated _ the postponement of all but one race of today's skiing events on Mount Kuapchu. Rain and sleet were accompanied by sharp westerly squalls. Results: — Men's Slalom (open).—J. C. Robertson (To Kuiti), lmin 34 3-osec (total time for twice over the course). 1; B. Mnrphy (Dawson's Fall), lmin 45 l-ssoc, 2; S. R. C. Murie (Wellington), lmin 51 2-oscc, 3. The barometer is rising, and improved conditions are expected tomorrow.
