CHAMPIONSHIP BILLIARDS

The Wellington inter-club provincial billiards championship begins, on Monday, July 17, at Messrs. Billiards, Ltd.'s showrooms. The total entries received being the highest-for at least eight years intense interest is being , evinced, and much attention will be ' drawn to the several ■ new players attempting a championship title for1 the first, time. Recent form by local contenders has been very even, and several substantial r breaksi ome exceeding 200, have 'lately :i been registered by certain contenders prominent last year. The championship will open on Monday with E. Petersen (Cairo Club) drawn against W.-'G. Fitzgerald (St.. Pat's Old Boys' Association). The ..second- game will be between D.
