MEALS FOR UNEMPLOYED
.The secretary 'of the British Sailors' Society desires to express grateful thanks to the following donors b£ foodstuffs and cash for the meals for unemployed men. of which an average of 200 are catered for each day:—Bread, Wellington Bread Co., daily supply; Denhard Bakeries, daily. Meat for- soup, Mr. Tunley, daily supply. Scones and buns, Mr. V. J, Kowell, Dorothy Cake Kitchen, The Kitchenette, Mr. Scott. Regent Quick Lunch, Mrs. Williams, The Madge. Vegetables, Laery and Co., "A Friend," "W.C.T.U., Obakune branch. Butter, MacEwan and Co., weekly supply; Parade Bakery, Island Bay, two donations bread. Anon, 10s; Mrs. Fannin, 3s; Mr. Pjcnt, £2 2s. Soap, Lever Bros., Petone. Barley, Mr. Bowe. Cups, Gates' American Lounge, Majestic Tearooms. The iociety is very short of cups and small basins for soup, and would be grateful for gift* of these. If donors will send gifts to the rooms, 57 Cuba Street, or ring telephone 14-645, arrangements will be made to collect the gifts.
