The grasshopper situation showed distinct improvement on Friday with the advent of decidedly cooler weather following generous rainfalls in ■ the southern portions of Manitoba. The heavy run on poison bait stations during the last week's heat wave necessitated some readjustment of the distribution, but the situation is now well under control. '
