MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Cases at the Magistrate's Court wore dealt with yesterday by Mr. E. Page, S.M. Eileen Wilson, aged 21, Kathleen Mary Clayton, aged 18, and Mary Gibbs Kailii were committed to a Borstal institution for a period not exceeding three years on •charges of being idle and disorderly in that they had insufheient lawful means of support., A remand until tomorrow was granted in the case of George Henry Trijle, aged 27, wh,o was charged with attempting to stow away on the s.s. Wahinc at Wellington. /
John Douglas Brew, a steward, aged 28, was further remanded until April 5 ou a charge of committing rape. A further adjournment for one week was granted in the case of John Taton Hardy, a compositor, aged 28, who was charged with stealing a woman's cape valued at £2. >< David Russell Thompson was remanded for one week on a charge of stealing a motor-car valued, at ■£ 150, " ■ '
