ARTISTIC MEDALS

By courtesy of his Excellency the Gov-ernor-General Lord Blcdisloe, patron of the society, two award medals for Maori agriculture, struck at the' direction of iiis Excellency by a Wellington firm, were exhibited to members of the Kew Zealand Numismatic Society at its meeting on Monday night at. which the Rev. D. C. Bates presided. Mr. Bates* said that the medals had been shown to a member of the Royal Academy visiting New Zealand, -who had stated that no finer mcdalwork of this description could be carried out in the British Empire.
