EASTBOURNE FAIR.
One of the preliminaries to the East* bourne Easter Fair will be a garden fetei in aid of the candidature of Miss Frances Mather (Sports Queen), to be held in the grounds of Mr. McKay's residence (next: infant school) on Saturday. The Mayor will formally open the fete, at which there wiil be numerous attractions, including a fancy dress parade, a treasure hunt, and various competitions and sideshows.
Found sleeping in a shed at the rear, of a vacant house at 5.30 a.m. todays Annio Winnifred Dunn, a domestic,aged 74, was this morning charged in! the Petonc Polieo Court with being art idle and disorderly person vrith insufficient lawful means of support. She was convicted and discharged by; Messrs. A. Coles and A. Anderson,' J.P.s, on the understanding that she* stays at the Mt. J.lagdala Home in; Christchurch for twelve months.
Using a ball which contains a number of dried peas the blind pupils of the Royal College. Norwood, play au enthusiastic came of football. Jn summer a soft ball containing a bell is used for cricket.
