LIXER TAKES FIRE
CRASH NEAR DIXMUDE
NO SURVIVORS

- RUGBY,' March 28. An air disaster occurred this "afternoon . when the Imperial Airways liner "City of Liverpool," proceeding from Cologne and Brussels to Croydon, crashed and caught fire near Dixmude, Flanders, and all twelve passengers, with the crew, con* sisting of'pilot, engineer, -and wireless operator, were killed." The. pas- ! sengers' names are believed to be Mr. and, Mrs. L. A. Dibdin, Mr, Hugh Mcllraith and Mrs. Mcllraith, Misa Kay, Miss Forrester Thompson, Mis 3 Voss, Mr. Rowland (possibly s Sir John Ro^yland), Messrs. Dearden, Krieglinger, Rowsell, Thompson, and Voss, The pilot was Captain Lelen, and the other members of the crew are Messrs. E. F. Stubbs and W. R. Brown. ;
The cause of the accident is at present unknown, and the consulting engineer and officials of ! the com* pany have left for the scene of tha accident.
According to Press reports tha petrol tanks exploded when the machine came down. It is stated that four of the bodies were found some distance away, indicating that they had jumped as the aeroplane fell. Three mail bags found intact wers taken charge of by the local authorities. * ,
