Asked in the House of Commons whether, he had made any representations fo the German Government regarding the safety of British Jews in Germany, the Foreign Secretary (Sir John Simon) said: "Although lam unaivai-e of any actual ease of arrest or illtrcatment of Jewish British subjects, his Majesty's Ambassador at Berlin, on my instructions, spoke to the German Minister for Foreign. Affairs on this question about three weeks ago, and I also took the opportunity of mentioning the matter myself last week to the German Ambassador in London. In both cases the replies were of a relassuring nature." ' ■ i
