WOKEIED OVER HEALTH
RETIRED FARMER'S DEATH

NELSON, March 28.
At the inquest regarding: the death of Henry Creedin Cheeseman, a retired Marlborough farmer, the coroner, Mr. T. E. Mau'nsell, S.M., returned a verdict that the deceased died from fracture of the base of the skull- and- hemorrhage; of the brain, the result of a gunshot ircjind self-inflicted while in a state 6£ severe mental depression. In evidence Dr. D. C. Low stated that the deceased ivas distressed about his health, which had been bad for four years. The deceased had told him he had undergone two major operations, and feared another.
