licensing authority;
The Central Licensing Authority sat today in the Government Buildings to hear 23 applications for passenger service licences. Colonel S. S. Allen, the acting-chairman of the authority, presided. The Railways Deprftment was represented by Mr. F. W. Aickin; The following applications, to which there were no objections, were considered:—Jenkins Motor Services, Ltd and F. J. Staniforth (for both of whom ;£ r- P\ C- Marsack appeared), services Welhngton-Masterton; W. G. Marfitt (for whom Mr. H. J. Knight appeared), service Wellington-Martinboro^gh: L S. Weld, Marton-Palmerston North service.
A renewal was granted in each case.
