MAIN TRUNK SERVICE

NOW NEARING NORMAL

AU trains arc now passing over the sections of line put temporarily out of service in the neighbourhood of Taumarunui by the floods last week. Slight delays are unavoidable until the repairs have* solidified, as reduced speeds are still necessary in some places. The Limited from Auckland arrived at Wellington at 11 a.m. today, an hour and a -half late. It is expected that the delays will be gradually shortened, otherwise the position remains the same as it was'yesterday.
