MANOR PARK CLUB
The official opening of the Manor Park Golf Club took place on Saturday, a large field competing on a fourball best-ball competition. Visitors were present from Hutt, Waiwetu, Paekakariki, Shandon, and Pitake Clubs. The best cards were handed in by MissL. Young (Hutt) and J. S. Barnard (Manor Park) and Mrs. and Mr. A. S. T. Butler (Manor Park), who tied with 3 up. Mrs. ana Mr.- J. ..Burns and Miss Stevens and J. Forbes were 2 up.
At the conclusion of the day's play the ladies' committee entertained the visitors and members in the clubhouse, a pleasant evening being spent in dancing. Mr. •Brockell during the evening presented the tropics won during the day. In an 18-hole medal competition, played during the weekend, J. Ogilvie and D. Butler tied with 75. McKenney and Page won a best-ball fourball -with 6 up.
