DALLAH
The badly burnt body of a man, identified as Francis Eichard Dykes, a linesman employed in the hydro-electric branch of the Public Works Department at Napier, was discovered at the base of a high-tension power standard among the hills about a mile and a half north of the power station, overlooking the Ngahauranga Gorge, on Saturday afternoon. The deceased, who had been married less than a fortnight, came to Wellington from Napier on holiday. So far as can be ascertained he was last seen alive- about 5.15 p.m. on Friday. An inquest will'■ be held on Wednesday.
