PALMERSTON N., This Day. A very satisfactory rate position is revealed in the Kairanga County, no less a sum than £12,310 having been paid to date out- of the £14,446 levied, or 86 per cent. o£ the total. Last year 91 per cent, was paid before the 10 per cent, penalty was imposed, but ratepayers then had the advantage of the 12% per cent, rebate.
