Veihnqnd increased his winning record at Fleniingtoh recently by taking the Essendon Stakes, 1% miles, and the Ring's Plate, V£ miles, which between them were worth over £1250. The brown son of Lirriond has acquitted himself more attractively in the hands of J. E. Pike than when ridden: by any other horseman, this being attributed to the great vigour for which the Sydney jockey is .! noted. . ■~ I To date Veilmond has contested 50 races, and his record is as follows:— . | .
